Spirited fans greeted the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs for their clash with the Arizona Desert Storm.

With second baseman Juan Silva leading the charge, the Arizona Desert Storm defeated the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 7-5, at Bulldogs Ballpark. Silva was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Kevin Spencer went 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits. The left-hander struck out 3 and walked 3. With the win, he ups his record to 6-3 this season. Terry Donohue notched his 18th save of the season.

Silva made an early impact for Arizona when he stroked his 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which came in the top of the second, put the Desert Storm on top, 2-0.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Silva told the Arizona Daily.

With the win, Arizona has a record of 30-28. Sudbury falls to 26-32.
