Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old third baseman Marco Estrada, the Portland Beavers stopped the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 6-1, in 9 innings. Portland goes to 83-69. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

Portland won the game in part because of Luke Spradley. The left fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Beavers ahead, 4-0. For the game, Spradley had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
