Blueberry Bulldogs Take Down Porters, 5-4
|
Dublin got a decent performance from pitcher Karl Gordam, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs. Sudbury won the Bulldogs Ballpark contest, 5-4. Gordam threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Sudbury is now 82-69.
Sudbury took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Andy Neufeld hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring Blueberry Bulldogs fans to their feet.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Dublin manager Jim DG.
