Buffalo Prevail, 4-3, Over Hanoi
|
John Hoover, who led the AL in innings pitched with 228.0 in 2038, was locked in. The right-hander led the Buffalo Buffalo to a 4-3 win against the Hanoi Dragon Warriors at The Greenhouse. Noah Powell recorded the save for Buffalo, his 35th of the season. Buffalo, at 78-71, holds down second place in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
Had Jacob Estes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Estes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Buffalo.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Hanoi manager GM Patman. "The effort was great."
