The Detroit Pizzas and Hanoi Dragon Warriors lit up the scoreboard.

The Hanoi Dragon Warriors got a superb performance from left fielder Ronnie Viverette, but the Detroit Pizzas still won the game, 10-8. Viverette slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Geoff Seitz. He is now 7-2. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. George Liston was credited with the save, his 26th in 33 tries.

The Pizzas got a big hit from left fielder Curtis Howland. In the top of the sixth, Howland smacked a 2-run home run off Hanoi pitcher Rafael Torres. It was his 16th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Pizzas were ahead, 9-8.

"It was a solid team effort," said Howland after the game.

Detroit is now 84-61, while Hanoi is 76-70.
