Desert Storm Get Hard-Earned Win
The Arizona Desert Storm earned a close win over the Dublin Porters, thanks in part to Kevin Spencer. The Arizona left-hander, who is tied for 6th in the FL in strikeouts with 210, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Spencer got the win, improving to 13-8. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Evan King earned the save, his 3rd in 6 tries.

Arizona used the timely hitting of Justin Trovato to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desert Storm on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Kevin gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Arizona skipper GM PerryPHX.

Arizona is second in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division with a record of 74-70.
