The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs defeated the Osaka Takoyaki, 6-5, in part because of first baseman Chris Edwards. Edwards went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blueberry Bulldogs. Justin Roeber earned the save for Sudbury, his 35th. The win lifted the Sudbury record to 78-63.

The Blueberry Bulldogs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Josh Freeland. For the game, Freeland was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 38th home run of the season gave Sudbury a 3-0 lead.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Freeland told the Sudbury Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
