The Lansing Red Storm and East Haddam Hyenas provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a low-scoring affair between the East Haddam Hyenas and the Lansing Red Storm, pitcher Mark Foglesong was the difference between victory and defeat. The East Haddam right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Hyenas win. East Haddam reliever John Motz picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Cameron Elson took the loss. The save went to Jason Derrick, number 29 for him.

Jerrod Conners, who is tied for 7th in the FL in RBI with 97, had a direct impact on the outcome. Conners contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put East Haddam up, 3-2.

In postgame comments to the East Haddam Today, Foglesong said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The victory puts East Haddam at 58-84.
