Hanoi Absorbs 2-1 Loss to Yellowstone
|
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors went down to defeat to John Potter and his Yellowstone teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Super Volcano. Potter picked up the win for Yellowstone, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 11-8. The Super Volcano improved their record to 61-78 by beating Hanoi.
Josh George had a big run-scoring double for the Super Volcano in the bottom of the first inning. With Yellowstone leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from Jon Gilson, who is tied for 4th in the AL in quality starts with 17, and swatted a double to center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Super Volcano ahead, 2-0.
"John executed his pitches at a high level," said Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline.
