Jason Hendsbee, who finished 5th in the FL in innings pitched with 223.0 last year, propelled his team to victory over the Lansing Red Storm. The final score was 5-3, Dublin. Dublin reliever Wayne Murphy snagged the win, upping his record to 7-5. Cameron Elson shouldered the loss. The Porters improved their record to 76-62 with the win over Lansing.
The decisive blow was delivered by Victor Ruiz in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Cameron Elson to win the game for Dublin. The home crowd went nuts.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Hendsbee.
