Desert Storm 7-3 Winners Versus East Haddam
The Arizona Desert Storm defeated the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-3. Second Baseman Pat Brown deserved a large share of the credit. Brown was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Desert Storm. Arizona reliever Esteban Vega got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Justin Kennedy was tagged with the loss. The Hyenas, now 53-78, have lost 6 straight.

The Desert Storm got a big hit from shortstop Juan Silva. In the bottom of the sixth, Silva smacked a 2-run home run off East Haddam pitcher Justin Kennedy. It was his 11th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Desert Storm were ahead, 4-3.

Afterward, East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski said: "Every team has a bad week."
