A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the East Haddam Hyenas and Dublin Porters.

East Haddam left fielder Matthew Kalb was instrumental in helping the Hyenas triumph, 8-3, over the Dublin Porters. Kalb was 2-6 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Hyenas are now 52-72.

East Haddam took the lead on Kalb's 13th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Zion Anthony in the top of the eighth, made the score 6-3, East Haddam.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Kalb told the East Haddam Observer.
