The Havana Sugar Kings went down to defeat to Alex Watkins and his Los Angeles teammates. The final score was 6-2, in favor of the Kings. Watkins, now 3-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Eric Barone, who finished 2nd in the FL in saves with 33 in 2048, nailed down the save.
Los Angeles used the hitting of Luis Garcia to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Kings on top, 1-0. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
