Osorio Hits 3 home runs in Aces Win
|
The Omaha Aces downed the Kyiv Cossacks, 8-7, at Aces Ballpark. Jose Osorio led the way, going 3-for-4 for Omaha. Alex Bacio, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. Earning his 30th save for Omaha was Tanner Denny.
Sergio Diaz had a big 3-run home run for the Aces in the bottom of the third inning. With Omaha trailing 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Jake Turner, who is tied for 9th in the FL in complete games with 1, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 23rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 5-4.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Osorio.
The Aces, at 53-61, inhabit second place in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
