Sudbury Tacks 4-1 Loss on Osaka
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs defeated the Osaka Takoyaki, 4-1, in Federation League action at Takoyaki Park. Sudbury pitcher Steve Spero had a standout performance. The winner was Willie Sevilla in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jeremy Myers took the loss. Nate Yarbrough earned the save for Sudbury, his 1st of the year.
Sudbury used the timely hitting of Joe Seelye to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
Sudbury manager Coach John commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
Sudbury is now 23-13, Osaka 11-25.
