Getting offensive support from Ben Dean, the East Haddam Hyenas topped the Buffalo Buffalo, 9-2. Dean was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Hyenas. Steve Ashcraft picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-3 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 6 in 5 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Michael Bannister recorded his 2nd save for East Haddam.

With East Haddam leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Dean hit a fastball from Daniel Bojorquez for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Hyenas ahead, 6-1.
