Sugardome II featured a tense pitchers' duel.
In a well-pitched game between the East Haddam Hyenas and the Havana Sugar Kings, pitcher Einar Galindo was fantastic. The East Haddam right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Chris Newell was credited with the save, his 16th in 21 tries.
Galindo yielded 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings for the Hyenas. For the season, Galindo has a record of 7-8 with 166 strikeouts.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Galindo.
