Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Roger Williams the Detroit Pizzas defeated the Arizona Desert Storm, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Jim Steeb. His record now stands at 9-5. The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Pizzas.
