Estadio Azteca was the site of a competitive game between the Pittsburgh Yinzers and San Antonio Aztecs.
The San Antonio Aztecs earned a win at Estadio Azteca, knocking off the Pittsburgh Yinzers, 4-3. On the bump for San Antonio was right-hander John Griese. He had a starring role in the triumph. Griese picked up the win for San Antonio, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-9.
The Aztecs took the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Pittsburgh hurler Dave Reed with one out, Josh Gingerich hit a run-scoring single.
"John was hitting his spots and everything had life," said San Antonio manager Jim Lumo.
The last-place Aztecs hiked their record to 42-52.
