Hyenas Rack Up 2-1 Win Versus Buffalo
|
Fans watched the East Haddam Hyenas and the Buffalo Buffalo fight to the finish.
The East Haddam Hyenas beat the Buffalo Buffalo, 2-1, at Ballpark of East Haddam. Starting pitcher Einar Galindo was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Galindo got the win, improving to 4-6. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Jesse Lutz, his 1st this season.
The Hyenas got a big at-bat from catcher Jared Gonsoulin. For the game, Gonsoulin was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave East Haddam a 2-0 lead.
East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
