The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs got a superb performance from pitcher Brett Richardson, but the Brooklyn Knights still won the game, 3-2. Richardson threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The winner in relief was Mike Rodriguez. He is now 4-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Today's win puts Brooklyn at 50-35, while Sudbury falls to 47-38.

John Baccari came through with a big-time hit for Brooklyn. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Sudbury manager Coach John. "We just didn't cash in."
