Laines Helps Hanoi Bombard Yellowstone
The first-place Hanoi Dragon Warriors played host to the Yellowstone Super Volcano.

The Hanoi Dragon Warriors downed the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 14-2, at The Nest. Danny Laines led the way, going 3-for-5 for Hanoi. The winner was Hanoi reliever Dan Bass, now 2-1. The loser was Justin Kowalick.

With Hanoi leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Laines hit a fastball from Justin Kowalick for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 6-1.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Laines told the Hanoi Daily. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

The loss drops Yellowstone to 19-11.
