East Haddam pitcher Justin Kennedy did his part in helping his team beat the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Kennedy. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Brett Richardson. East Haddam goes to 13-14.

East Haddam used the hitting of Mike Sizemore to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hyenas on top, 1-0. For the game, Sizemore had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Justin had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski.
