Getting a good performance from shortstop Jeremy Copeland, the Buffalo Buffalo defeated the Brooklyn Knights, 9-5. Copeland went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Buffalo. Omar Gallegos, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Noah Powell picked up the save for Buffalo, his 5th of the year.

Buffalo right fielder Nick Koonts contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the ninth. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 28th hit of the season and put the Buffalo ahead, 7-5.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Copeland, "and then get after it again."

Brooklyn is now 7-20.
