Dragon Warriors Grind Out 2-1 Win
Aaron Wierzba, who led the AL in ERA with 3.11 in 2049, was terrific for the Hanoi Dragon Warriors in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Detroit Pizzas. His performance earned Wierzba rave reviews. In 5 innings, Wierzba surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The win puts Hanoi at 14-7.

The Dragon Warriors got a big at-bat from first baseman Casey Dawson. For the game, Dawson went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Hanoi a 2-1 lead.

"We busted our tails," said Detroit manager Evan Compton. "But we came up short."
