Romero Goes 5-for-5 Against Pittsburgh Sunday, January 9th , 2050 It seemed Philadelphia Spartans shortstop Jorge Romero could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The Spartans fell against the Pittsburgh Bats by the score of 10-9. Romero did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Pittsburgh prevailed at Manukau Grounds. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Romero said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Jorge Romero singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Brad Reynolds in the 8th.
