No Ordinary Win for Kitch Thursday, January 7th , 2049 Ben Kitch of the Philadelphia Spartans notched another win, this one breaking the all-time record for pitchers. The previous owner of the record was Jerry Matthews. The win puts Kitch at 14 for his career. "I've been fortunate," said Kitch. "I've played on a lot of good teams and with quality teammates. I could never have done it without them." Thus far this season, Kitch has tossed 59 innings in 7 starts, fanned 54 batters, walked 13 and put up a 0.61 ERA with 7 wins and no losses. |
