Hitting Streak Still Alive for Lara Wednesday, January 4th , 2051 Nobody has been able to shut down Philadelphia Spartans right fielder Juan Lara in recent days. The Pittsburgh Bats fared no better than the rest. Today at UCLA Stadium, Lara picked up 2 hits in 4 at-bats en route to a win, 20-5. It stretched his hitting string to 6 consecutive games. Juan Lara walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Thus far this year, Lara is batting .500 with 9 home runs, 25 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
