Indianapolis Blanked by Robinson
Thursday, January 11th , 2052
The Indianapolis Green Sox manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Philadelphia Spartans. The Green Sox were overpowered by Philadelphia starter Tyler Robinson, who hurled his club to victory, 11-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Wil Fenner said.
Over 9 innings, Robinson blanked Indianapolis on 1 hit with no walks and 5 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Robinson said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
So far this year, Robinson has made 7 starts, tossed 49 innings, struck out 38 batters and walked 14. His record is 6-0 with a 3.12 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .200 batting average.
