Espinal Ups Hit Streak to 3 Consecutive Games Tuesday, December 6th , 2050 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Fernando Espinal did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at UCLA Stadium. For the last 3 games in a row, the 24-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Philadelphia Spartans beat the Houston Gators, 6-4. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Espinal told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Philadelphia clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Fernando Espinal hit a two-run home run off Justin Saunders in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. |
