5-for-6 Day for Perez Sunday, December 24th , 2051 After a 5-hit effort to lead Philadelphia's 22-4 victory over the Phoenix Moose, first baseman Adrian Perez told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the CBD WInter League-level is really something special." The 24-year-old player earned his accolades at Arraijan Stadium with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Moose. "His swing is getting there," said Spartans skipper Jonathon Trucke, who spoke glowingly of Perez after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Adrian did that to perfection." Adrian Perez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Josh Plum in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
