Tacoma's Luna Suspended Wednesday, July 10th , 2052 The Tacoma Oilmen were officially notified that second baseman Danny Luna had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Axemen at Axemen Grove. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Luna threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout. That action got him ejected and a 2-game suspension. "I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess." Luna is batting .234 this year with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 77 at-bats. |
