Spokane Sweeps into the World Series
Tuesday, September 26th , 2051
The Spokane Bulldogs proved to be too much to handle for the Kansas City Hepcats in the League Championship Series, and a sweep was the end result.
Spokane punched its ticket to the World Series on the strength of a 7-5 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0.
Spokane second baseman Dennis Ingoglia, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Kansas City pitching to the tune of a .588 average, with a .632 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Spokane Bulldogs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Jefferson J-Hawks - Calgary Winter series. Calgary leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
