League Suspends Devereaux and Quintanilla for Fisticuffs Wednesday, August 30th , 2051 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Georgetown-Laredo contest at Spinners Grove. The Spinners Mike Devereaux and the Diamonds Esteban Quintanilla will have to sit out 3 and 7 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Batting .305 to date, Devereaux has 16 home runs and 68 RBIs. This season, Quintanilla has chalked up 3 saves, notched a 1-2 record with a 2.30 ERA, allowed 35 hits in his 43 innings of work, struck out 41 and walked 8. Opponents are hitting .222 against the Laredo hurler. |
