SL1 Trophy Goes to Petticrew of Mexico City Monday, July 1st , 2052 Mexico City fans have something to crow about today as Mexico City second baseman Shane Petticrew nabbed the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Petticrew. He posted a .417 average (10-for-24) this past week with 5 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 10 runs scored. Thus far this year, Petticrew has hit .304 with 16 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
