Tharp Drops Baseball to Play Basketball Thursday, September 22nd , 2050 Reno multi-sport star Mark Tharp has decided to discontinue his baseball career and focus full-time on his basketball career. Despite his love of baseball, Tharp says he likes his prospects on the hardwood better than the diamond. "It was a tough decision, but I think this is the right one for me," said the Rattlers third baseman. Tharp, considered to be a standout shooting guard, is projected as a late 1st or 2nd round pick in the upcoming pro basketball draft. |
