Hits Galore: Brye Drills 5 Hits Sunday, June 23rd , 2052 Jason Brye was at the head of a Kansas City hit parade at Hepcats Ballpark. The second baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Hepcats to a nice 13-5 victory over the Cloverleaf Imperials. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Brye told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Imperials skipper Jim Flores said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Jason Brye singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 7th. In the 2052 season Brye is hitting .355 with 4 home runs. View Boxscore |
