SL2 Top Pitcher for May Picked Saturday, June 1st , 2052 The Pitcher of the Month in the Sub League 2 for May was Laredo's star reliever Blake McCarley. "I was wondering if relievers were even eligible for this thing," McCarley joked with reporters. "I guess the voters do know there's actual pitchers down there in the pen." The Diamonds bullpen ace collected 7 saves and 15 strikeouts in 16 innings, holding the opposition to a .167 average and posting a 1.69 ERA and a 2-2 record. Thus far this year, McCarley has picked up 10 saves. He has also compiled a 2-2 won-lost mark with a 1.71 ERA and in 21 innings fanned 23. |
