Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, May 30th , 2052 If there wasn't a history between Rafael Carranza of Kansas City and Mario Mayorga of Spokane, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 9 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Carranza said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Carranza is batting .298 with 4 home runs. His totals include 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored. Mayorga has no saves in 12 relief appearances this season with a 0-2 record and 8.50 ERA. |
