Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, May 19th , 2052 Luis Viramontes of Portland and Jim Howlett of Reno were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Viramontes will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Howlett was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. On the year, Viramontes has hit .292 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This season, Howlett has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 4.30 ERA in 5 starts. |
