Laredo-Tacoma Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, May 16th , 2052 After an intense confrontation, both the Diamonds Andrew Johnson and the Oilmen Jason Daniels were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Laredo-Tacoma game. Andrew Johnson will miss 3 games, while Jason Daniels was suspended for 7 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Andrew Johnson commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." To date Johnson has chalked up a .115 average with no home runs, driven in 2 runs and scored 2 times. To date in the season, Daniels is 1-0 with 7 relief appearances and 5 saves. He has held opposing batters to a .217 average, pitched 6.2 innings, struck out 7 and walked 1 while recording a 2.70 ERA. |
