Laredo Halts Curtis's Hitting Steak Monday, May 13th , 2052 Lady Luck was not on the side of Joe Curtis or his teammates at Ballpark of Laredo. Everything went the way of the Laredo Diamonds, who not only came away with the 5-3 victory over Jefferson, but also held Curtis hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 20-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Curtis said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." Thus far this year, Curtis is batting .308 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
