Cloverleaf Moves on to League Championship Series
Tuesday, July 5th , 2050
The World Series hopes remain strong for the Cloverleaf Imperials.
The team tonight eliminated the Spokane Bulldogs with a 2-1 win, to capture the Division Series 3-1.
"We're rolling now," said Andy Lowry, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the League Championship Series."
The standout offensive performance from Lowry included a .444 batting average, .444 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored.
The Cloverleaf Imperials don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kansas City Hepcats - Mexico City Mole series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
