Mendoza, Reyes Suspended for Fracas Thursday, May 2nd , 2052 Eric Mendoza of the Kansas City Hepcats and Carlos Reyes of the Reno Rattlers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Hepcats-Rattlers game at Rattlers Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Mendoza and Reyes will begin serving them soon. During the current season Mendoza is batting at a .254 clip with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. He has played in 17 games and scored 16 times. Reyes has compiled an ERA of 5.84 so far this season, winning 0 games with 2 losses and no saves. In 4 relief appearances he has hurled 12.1 innings, yielded 15 hits and struck out 8. Opposing hitters have batted .294 against Reyes. |
