Hits Galore: Goulding Drills 5 Hits Tuesday, June 21st , 2050 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Curtis Goulding is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Richfield Outlaws at Winter Grounds. The monster effort from the 20-year-old shortstop helped the Calgary Winter get the win, 20-6. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Outlaws manager Jimmy Cronin. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Curtis Goulding hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. For the season, Goulding is batting .283 with 69 hits and 13 home runs. He has scored 46 times and batted in 50. View Boxscore |
