Lyons Goes on Rampage Against J-Hawks Tuesday, June 21st , 2050 Even as a kid, Mohan Lyons said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Ballpark of Laredo, Lyons showed how well he learned that lesson. The 20-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Laredo Diamonds, helping his team knock off the Jefferson J-Hawks by a score of 6-5. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Mohan Lyons hit a solo-shot off Manuel Rivera in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, tripled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
