Mole Rodriguez and Mavericks Vera Suspended for Fight Sunday, June 18th , 2051 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Mexico City-Portland contest at Mavericks Field. The Mole Jonathan Rodriguez and the Mavericks Juan Vera will have to sit out 5 and 10 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This season, Rodriguez has hit at a .294 clip with 43 RBIs, 16 home runs and 36 runs scored. So far this year, Vera has made 14 starts, tossed 79.2 innings, struck out 71 batters and walked 27. His record is 5-3 with a 2.15 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .196 batting average. |
