Players Suspended in J-Hawks-Oilmen Donnybrook Tuesday, June 13th , 2051 If there wasn't a history between Vic Acevedo of Jefferson and Juan Hernandez of Tacoma, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Acevedo said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Acevedo is hitting .229 this year with 1 home run, 1 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 8 hits in 35 at-bats, 4 walks and a .325 on-base percentage. Acevedo has played in 10 games. This year, Hernandez has posted a 4-2 mark in 13 starts and has a 2.38 ERA. |
