Spokane-Mexico City Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, June 10th , 2051 Yesterday at Mole Grounds Gwon-beom So and Matt Russ got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Spokane Bulldogs and Mexico City Mole. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that So will have to sit out 4 while Russ would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. So far this season, So has recorded a .219 batting average with 7 hits, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs, 4 runs scored and a .286 OBP. So far this season, Russ has a record of 2-4 with 59 strikeouts and 20 walks in 66 innings and a 3.82 ERA. |
