Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Gibson Thursday, June 8th , 2051 Jim Gibson has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 22-year-old Georgetown Spinners left fielder extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-2 as Georgetown got the best of the Calgary Winter at Spinners Grove, 9-2. "Jim has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Spinners manager Wil Chicas said. Jim Gibson singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and walked in the 7th. To date, Gibson has collected 44 hits for a .338 average. He has posted 3 home runs, scored 22 runs and driven in 23 runs. |
