Four-bagger Feast: Cantu Slugs 3 for Richfield Saturday, May 3rd , 2053 Whatever Tony Cantu ate for breakfast before his game against the Georgetown Spinners, it gave him some impressive power. The Richfield second baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Outlaws Field. His home run barrage helped the Outlaws defeat the Spinners, 18-6. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 4 times, drove in 6 and put on a display that history will remember. Tony Cantu walked in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Franklin Cruz in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jesus Ontiveros in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Padraig French in the 8th. So far this season, Cantu is hitting .247 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 73 at-bats and a .317 OBP. |
